As a family, we are constantly evolving and growing, learning to adapt to the uncertain challenges that life throws our way.
Although the fear of the unknown can be intimidating, we embrace it as an opportunity to develop
new skills and overcome obstacles and most importantly to learn.
Hello and welcome to my little corner of the universe, Embrace the Uncertain where I discuss all things Lupus and Autism, two medical issues that are very near and dear to me.
For those of you who don’t know, back in 2020 while the whole world was going into lockdown, I was being diagnosed with Lupus disease, an autoimmune disease that entered my world, knocked me on my ass and humbled me very quickly. I am still learning about this illness and the impact it has on my body and my life so I am taking you all on this journey with me.
I also am a mother to four beautiful children, two daughters aged 16 and 11 and two boys aged 10 and 5. In recent years we have had both our boys diagnosed with Autism, which we are navigating through at present.
So why not allow you into our level of craziness and share our experiences with you?

Let's talk Our History
My name is Kirsty McCrilly and this is my family. I met my husband, Colm when we were in primary school and we have been together for 21 years, married 11 years and we have four beautiful children today.

Hayden is 10 years old
Keegan is 5 years old

BE LOUD ABOUT THE THINGS THAT ARE IMPORTANT TO YOU
This was my primary reason for starting this journey, where I talked about my diagnosis and my kids and I wanted to be honest with everyone about my experiences both the good and the bad.
